About the Program

The emphasis in intramurals at Tufts is on both fun and competition. The intensive training of varsity intercollegiate athletics and club sports is not part of the intramural agenda. There are no practice sessions and no required ability level for any sport. However, these teams play hard and compete in one or two games per week.

Dormitories, groups of friends with a common athletic interest, or Greek houses may organize intramural teams. Faculty and staff are also invited to form or join teams.
